Former No. 69 was removed from tennis to match matches
Brazilian tennis player Joao Souza was temporarily suspended from professional tennis after an investigation by the Tennis Integrity Division, which is concerned with the numerous signals of dubious matches at the lower levels in the sport.
Soussa’s punishment has been in force since March 29, as he has no right to attend and participate in professional tournaments until the ban is in place.
Currently, the 30-year-old Brazilian is No. 404 in the ATP rankings and No. 4 in the ITF, which is responsible for the points earned by the smaller tournaments. In 2015 it reached its record position – No. 69.
