Mauro Icardi would be the player chosen to replace Edinson Cavani in PSG
PSG is winning the race to Atletico Madrid for the signing of the Argentine striker.
A race for Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, which supposedly started between PSG and Atlético de Madrid and was revealed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, allowed France Football to establish that the Parisian entity is already looking for a substitute for Edinson Cavani.
The Italian sports newspaper said that PSG has the advantage over Atlético de Madrid and that the signing could be made for some 70 million euros, because that would be the amount set by Inter Milan to negotiate the attacker.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, negotiations are “already in progress” to be carried out in the next window of passes, due to the fact that the player’s permanence in the Italian club seems unsustainable.
They all agree that the PSG is very interested and would have placed Icardi’s name at the top of its list of candidates for future transfers.
If this happens, it is because, as indicated by France Football, Icardi would be the player who would replace Cavani, who has a contract until June 2020.
