Shock Deal: Everton star might play in Liverpool?
Everton striker Richardson is a surprising goal for a summer transfer to Liverpool’s urban enemy manager Jurgen Klop. The Brazilian UOL Esporte confirms that the German mentor had a meeting with the player’s agent who was debating the ambitions of the player and a possible deal.
Everton bought Richardson with a £ 35m transfer from Watford in the summer. The good looks of the “hornets” helped him to this transfer, and strong games brought him eight matches for Brazilian national team. This season he has 12 goals in 30 games for Everton.
Brazil’s media claim that the player’s agent Renato Velasco has gone personally to Juergen Klop’s house, discussing the potential attraction of the “caramel” footballer. The newspaper claims that Richard is also a transfer destination for Spanish champion Barcelona, with the Spanish trying to buy it in the winter but without success.
Historically, since 1892, just 20 players have been transferred by direct transfer from Everton to Liverpool. The first was in 1892 when Tom Wiley docked Liverpool from the “Blue,” and the last deal dates back to 2002, after Mozambique with Portuguese passport Abel Chavee recorded a transfer from Goodwood Park to Anfield.
